Santa Claus is coming to town . . .

Christmas Eve, Mommy and Daddy took me to look at the lights around the neighborhood. I thought we were going trick-or-treating but Mommy said people weren't giving out candy. Afterwards, we made cookies for Santa and he only left crumbs the next morning!!!Then Mommy and Daddy let me open one xmas present from them. I got walkie talkies. "Rover, Daddy!"

I didn't want to go to bed that night; I was so excited!! I kept talking about how Santa was coming down the chimney to "see me". He must have woke me when he came by because I climbed in bed with Mommy at 3am and asked if the sun was up. My lazy parents finally got up at 6am. I was a little nervous about the new toys. I mean, they appeared out of nowhere!! It took me awhile to warm up to them and play. But I have been so busy ever since.

Who cares about Santa Claus???

Is this it??? Could this be the year that Vince actually takes a liking to Santa Claus???? Uh . . . not so much! Maybe next year . . .

As soon as Santa walked through the door at the Christmas playdate, I headed for the other room. I CAN NOT, WILL NOT, ABSOLUTELY MUST NOT sit on some strange man's lap and tell him what I want for Christmas. I happily watched my friends sit on his lap and laughed when Santa sang Christmas songs . . . but I am NOT a "Santa lap-sitter"!! (Yet.)
With much protest, I agreed to sit for a group photo with Santa but only because my friend Levi held my hand and pulled me down.

I'd much rather play with my friends than answer Santa's questions.

"Santa, I have been REALLY, REALLY good." Why does he look so shocked about that? Who's he been talking to anyway?Forget that fat man! I'm just going to wrestle with Levi.
Ok, maybe I should be nice to the guy or he's not going to bring me anything. I know! I'll give him my friend's car as a token gesture! And then maybe he will pass it on to me Christmas Eve.
Time for a serious discussion about the different definitions of "naughty" and "nice".
After much coercing from Santa, Mom (who even went so far as to bribe me with a brownie without any luck!!), the other Moms, and even some of my 3 yr old playgroup buddies, I finally stood close enough to Santa to get a picture for the annual Christmas ornament. But I am NOT getting on that jolly man's lap!!!

At last, it's over!!! Now I don't have to go near this dude again for another year.

. . . . I wonder if he is still going to bring me 5 cars and a TALL race car for Christmas?

Vince's 1st official performance (or lack thereof) . . .

Here I am leading in my class (all the while wiping snot from my runny nose!) Poor lil' sick Rudolf!! While some of my friends sing and dance, I look for Mommy and Daddy. (They were actually hiding behind other parents so that I would not see them and make a run for them. So mean!!)What's this??!!?? All of a sudden I feel the urge to join in the song and dance!

Oh, wait, now I have to play with these bells on my arm . . .

Darn these pants keep falling down!!! Upon arriving home this afternoon, I have been singing and dancing the Christmas songs nonstop that I refused to do during the program. (I prefer solo performances!!)

I've become very attached to some glasses that I got at my friend Evan's birthday party. I feel that I am man enough to pull it off too, thank you very much!!!

Holiday Season Begins!

Mommy and Daddy took me to ride the Holiday Express train. Afterward we made a Gingerbread House (or rather Daddy made a Gingerbread House and I tried to eat it!)
I helped Mommy do some decorating for Christmas. It made me kinda loopy after awhile. I started getting Halloween and Christmas mixed up together. The ornaments on the tree that Mommy gave me needed to go "trick or treating".

Turkey Day!!!

I made an apron at preschool to use for all the cooking I planned to do Thanksgiving Day.

I practiced my baking skills by making some "Turkey cookies". I had to test many of the ingredients so it's a good thing MawMaw provided me with many supplies.

I had fun carefully placing each candy on the cookie and even more fun eating the cookies.

My cousin Ryan and I had lots of fun playing and wrestling together. I'm "thankful" to have such a kind cousin who is willing to hug me while I pick my nose! (And give me his cool Thomas the Train sunglasses!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!

The Big Night Has Arrived!!! Ohhh . . . it's Halloween!!

Mommy made me black worms to eat tonight for dinner! I don't know why she says I am a picky eater b/c I devoured it!! Daddy was a little turned off by the icky black worms. He's such a wimp!My friends Tera, Evan, and Drew came over to go trick-or-treating with me. We were in no particular hurry to get going b/c we had glow sticks and were more interested in chasing each other in the yard. "We running Tera, we running!!" My mommy was glad we had the glow sticks because that is the only way she knew where we were unless some cameras were flashing.

Off we go a trick-or-treating . . . me and the Golf Pro!

I started with a house where I knew the people because that is less scary!!I tried to sweet-talk this lady in to giving me another wowwipop.We only made it about 1/4 of the way around the block before turning back for home. Tera and I kicked back with our "wowwipops" for our free ride!

We finished our night up with cupcakes and goldfish!

The countdown to Halloween is on!!!!!!

I'm getting geared up for Halloween! Tonight I decorated my first pumpkin with my Mr. Potato Head parts. I decided it was important for him to be sticking out his tongue.

I call my new friend Mr. Pumpkin Head!Tonight I went to my first Trunk or Treat at the church where I go to preschool. Mommy explained to me that I would get to go up to different cars and get treats. Just going to see the cars would have been enough treat for me but they were actually handing out candy too!! They should have this all year long!Mommy and Daddy decorated Mommy's car and put my Mr. Pumpkin Head in there too.

I really liked this "wowwipop".
Afterwards we had dinner at the church and I won "Best Costume". (At least, that is what Mommy keeps calling it. But my cousin Ryan was wearing a "Birthday Boy" ribbon yesterday that looked just like this ribbon. So when I went up front to accept my ribbon, I yelled "I'd da Birfday Boy!!!! Yeah!!" But I didn't get to blow out a candle.)

Party Animal

I went to Virginia today to celebrate my PaPa and cousin Ryan's birthday. I had so much fun following Ryan around and playing with his toys. Later I led the family in some of the hottest new dance moves!! Pop, lock, and drop it, folks!!!

Big Race Day

I ran my first Tot Trot today. I was very eager to get going and didn't want to wait for my heat. After I ran with Mommy to the finish line, I said, "I want to race!" Mommy said I was done with the race, so I asked to race again. I'm ready for the next one. Before my race, I had to wait for Mommy to finish her race. I played some peek-a-boo with Daddy to pass the time.
