How my playdates go . . .

That's a video of me and my friend Evan and another video of me taking my first slide down into my new pool.
Here I am with my buddies in my backyard. One brave little girl in the bunch! But, trust me, she can hold her own.
And here we are inside cooling off for the day. In general, it is complete chaos!!!

Vince goes a-camping!

I had a great time on my first camping trip. I got to sleep with Mom and Dad. I was so excited, I stayed up most of the night jumping on their heads!! Everyone at the campsite knew my name after that first night because it was yelled alot, along with "Be still!" and "Be quiet!". But I knew my parents weren't serious when they threatened to kick me out of the tent. Then I gave a 6am wake-up call for the whole campsite. Mommy and Daddy kept talking about how glad they were that they packed the coffemaker. I went exploring with the flashlight in the evenings. I was put in charge of finding good "smore's" sticks. Of course I didn't eat those nasty marshmellows! I stuck with the chocolate and graham crackers.

During the day, I loved playing at the lake. I jumped right in the cold water and splashed around like a fish! I dug up a lot of pebbles and other mystery items that Mommy wouldn't let me keep.
I keep asking Mommy to go camping again, but she just rolls her eyes at me.

I'd like to take this time . . .

. . . to play a little song for my Paw Paw. This is my eloquent version of Serenata Noctuna by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Enjoy PawPaw!!

P.S. I embellished a little towards the end for your enjoyment purposes.

Exploring my town

I've been doing a lot of exploring in my town this spring. I really like visiting gardens around town and smelling the flowers, picking up rocks and sticks, and especially chasing the bugs and birds!
Exploring the Mordecai Garden. MMMM, smells great!

And the Joel Lane Garden . . .

I went to the Farmer's Market for Strawberry Day but I refused to eat a strawberry.

My favorite visit was the Arboretum . . .

I Neeeeeeeeed a Pet!

I am determined to get a pet. A baby turtle or a duck will do just fine. But they just won't listen to me! Somebody help!!

Tips for a successful walk around the block:

1. Pick up everything on the ground to inspect: flowers, sticks, rocks, rubber bands, gum wrappers, etc.
2. Help nature out by spreading seeds of all kinds (weeds included) to your neighbor's yards.
3. Speak to all the neighborhood animals, including the inanimate ones.

4. Wipe all boogers on the sidewalk or on prickly trees that happen to be nearby.

5. And most importantly, do all this at a snail's pace so your mother has time to reflect on the need to "stop and smell the roses" again.

Footnote: It's helpful to have your mother carry you the rest of the way back home so you have enough energy to skip your nap later.
