Bubblefest and more . . .

We made a trip to Bubblefest this past weekend. Vince enjoyed all the bubble-making activities.Yesterday, Vince spied these jammies when I was going through the winter clothes. Its a pair of his cousin Ryan's old jammies. He insisted on putting them on despite the 100 degree weather and still doesn't want to take them off today. He opted to not play outside this morning just so he could keep them on.

Last night (in an effort to get him to try some lettuce) we informed Vince that bunny rabbits love to eat lettuce! . . . He informed us that he was not a bunny rabbit.

Mia went to her first musical this weekend. She went to see Mamma Mia (of course!) with Traci and Baby Hailey. Mia watched the entire movie. I tried to get her to take a nap during the middle of it but she was mezmerized by the action! I fear what may become of her - introducing ABBA so early in her development.

Mia exercising

Mia has been working on moving around so I finally got some pics of her this morning doing her thing. She likes to turn to her side when you lay her on her back. And she is raising herself up and resting on her elbows when placed on her belly.

Vince and Mia hit the surf!!!

Vince finally loves the ocean!!! I mean LOVES the ocean; sitting in it, jumping in it, fishing in it! He watched the guys catch little sharks and fish and got to touch them.Vince became a foster dad to two Hermit crabs that he named Crabby and Happy. Vince decided that Crabby was a girl - (hmmmm - Mommy might need to have a chat with Vince about this). The night before we left, Vince set them free to join their friends on the beach.Mia spent the week snoozing by the ocean, snuggling with Karis and Tod and just being her usual adorable self. Vince and Mia are quite distraught now that Aunt Karis and Uncle Tod have gone home and they're stuck with their boring Mommy and Daddy again.
For MawMaws, PawPaws, etc who might want to see the whole vacation:http://s156.photobucket.com/albums/t38/Lori-Thompson/Topsail%20Beach%20Trip/?action=view&current=4b36e4f4.pbw

Mia is 3 months old!!

I weighed Mia at home since she wouldn't be weighed at the doctor's office this month. She is 15 lbs, 6 oz. Despite all that chunk, she is trying really hard to roll herself over. She rolls to her side but can't get over her rolly, polly arm. She first attempted her rolling maneuver in order to get a good look at her friend, Haley, who was laying beside her.

This weekend in review . . . .

Vince and Daddy prepare for the beach by getting their tackle boxes organized. Vince has been studying the fish in his fish book and particularly likes the "puffer fish". He's been practicing by casting his pole from the deck and reeling in his plastic fish. Vince got to practice some of his fishing skills at his PaPa's house this weekend and helped PaPa catch a fish (and touched it's eyeball). Yeck!

Mia met her cousin, Katie, for the first time this weekend. Katie is 5 months old and looks a little bigger than Mia but somehow Mia weighs more. I think Miss Thunder Thighs is hiding it all in her tush! They silently checked each other out for awhile before taking naps.
